I got my PhD degree at the Department of nuclear physics and biophysics at Comenius University of Bratislava, Slovakia. Results of my PhD thesis were published in J. Suchanek Foltan: tRNA genes and the genetic code. Journal of Theoretical Biology, 253, 469–482, 2008, doi:10.1016/j.jtbi.2008.03.006 (Foltan is my mother's maiden surname).
